What is Paintball?

 PAINTBALL is played with a lightweight CO2 powered airgun (called a "marker") which shoots gelatin capsules filled with water-paint. These capsules are like bath beads, and the paint is EASILY washed out with plain water or everyday laundering.

When the paintball hits and SPLATS, your opponent is "out" of that game.
(Yes, it stings sometimes. Less than hockey, squash, volleyball or soccer -- WAY less than waxing your legs or eyebrows! -- and it's 20 times safer than basketball. 98% of those who try paintball, love it!)

Action and Adventure Paintball promotes organized recreational and team-building sport -- played year round. Paintball is healthy, outdoor Okanagan fun -- ideal for parties and teambuilding events of all kinds.

(Also called Elimination.)
(2+ Teams)
The team with the most players left after 7 minutes wins. Any questions?

V.I.P. Escort
(2 teams)
Each team chooses a V.I.P. (Very Important Player). You must escort your V.I.P safely to a destination assigned by our Field Coach -- and also prevent the other team from delivering their V.I.P. to their destination. A game of high strategy and close teamwork. You might have to take a hit for your V.I.P. during the last seconds!

SKILLS: strategic planning, loyalty, team spirit, task completion, focus, risk assessment.

TREASURE
(2-3 Teams)

Several paintball boxes are placed around the field. Your team has 7 minutes to gather as many as possible, return them to your storage depot and keep them safe. Sometimes there are even candy bars or coupons for FREE PAINTBALLS in a box!

(2 teams)
The classic wide game. Each team has a flag at its base, and must defend their own flag while trying to take the other team's flag and return safely. Capture the other team's flag -- but don't lose your own!

SKILLS: teamwork, wearing multiple hats, communication, responding to rapidly changing conditions

Rescue Johnson
(2 teams)

Johnson, our life-sized dummy, is counting on YOU to bring him home! Two teams race to recover Johnson and return him to the designated home base. High action all the way down and all the way back!

SKILLS: prudent assignment of personnel, communication, holding down one's position, contingency planning.

(2 Teams)
The most popular PAINTBALL TOURNAMENT game: A flag is placed in the center of the playing field. If your team can capture the flag, then take it FORWARD to the other team's base, you win! (Like soccer, with a little firepower!)

SKILLS: teamwork, follow-through, goal setting, communication, seizing opportunities, responding to rapidly changing conditions

 
Mission Impossible
(2-3 Special Agents Against Everyone Else)

2-5 skilled players are the Mission Impossible team -- they have broken into your country's security center and stolen a computer hard-drive full of secret information. They are hidden around a two storey building in the town, waiting for their helicopter pickup -- in just 7 minutes. A large force (about 7 to 1) is sent in to recover the hard drive. Which team will you be on?

MOTION RULES
(2-3 Players)

You receive 1 point just for moving from one barricade to another, 3 points for marking an opponent, and 5 points for having possession of the flag at the end of this short game. You are NEVER OUT

SKILLS: multi-tasking, foresight, risk taking, physical fitness, precision.

(2-3 Teams)

Each team chooses a king. OBJECT: capture your opponent's king. PROTECT YOUR KING!

Multiple Lives

In some games, we allow players to re-enter the game after being marked. You have a short time to move safely back to a specific location, then come back into the game -- JUST LIKE YOUR FAVORITE COMPUTER GAMES. Multiple Lives gives you the chance to try new strategies and risky maneuvers with your first life, and it rewards players who aren't afraid to move and get marked.
